Our Logo: The globe and compass points indicate our international service to the world-wide adoption community. The symbol in the center of this globe is the earliest known cipher indicating "child in a crib". This was donated by artist Kit Brown of Colorado.

What is Going On at ISRR

For the month of July 2010. Updated July 23, 2010

Registrations & Updates

Report from 2009: ISRR received 4,073 pieces of mail, 3,071 new registrations, and 1,176 updates. At years end, there were a total of 220,978 active registrations indexed in our database, 3,534,662 visits to our website, requests for 54,303 registration forms and 4,451 updates. We handled 668 registrant matches. Though the majority of registrants were born in the United States, last year there were also registrations from births that took place in Austria, Canada, Chile, El Salvador, England, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Honduras, India, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Philippines, Portugal, and Romania. Also, 2,815 registrant matches that occurred between 1999 and 2003 were digitized before shredding. This is nearly the last of the old file preservation.

New Registrations

On average, ISRR receives 100-300 registrations each week. Holidays, group gatherings, conferences or media coverage can double or triple that amount. More registrations usually results in more matches. All mail arriving before 07-18-2010 has been processed, and all matches opened with the status listed below. We update this regularly to make it easy for registrants to check if there is a new match for them. If you do not see yours below, it means there is not a match at this time, but remember we get hundreds of new registrations each week and yours remains open and active unless you notify us otherwise.

We are going through our entire registry to update files and in the process will be listing here the place and date of birth on registrants we are trying to contact.

MISSING REGISTRANTS: These cases are matches or probable matches, but the registrants need to update their files with ISRR. We attempt to contact all, but the addresses and phone numbers are out-of-date. In some cases, they need to get their non-identifying or other information. If you see the place & date of birth on your case listed here, please download a new registration form or update form, fill it out as completely as possible, and mail it in to us. Especially if you have already been reunited, we'd like to close the file. We cannot answer questions about any of these over the phone without first receiving a signed update.
